Sorgenfri Palace Garden, just north of Copenhagen, Denmark, is a tranquil, wooded natural garden laid out around the Lake Lyngby and Mill Stream. The gardens cover almost 100 acres of woodland, with winding paths and small buildings elegantly placed in the landscape. Sorgenfri Palace, located in the middle of the palace garden, was originally built in 1706 and rebuilt in 1756 in the Neoclassicist Style.

The garden surrounding the Palace was originally made in the Baroque style, rebuilt in the English Romantic tradition circa 1800 straight out of a Golden Age painting, incorporating garden furniture including a well, grotto and gazebos. The Palace and garden is closed to the public and  is still enjoyed by the Danish Royal Family to this day. However the surrounding woodlands are owned by the state and offer a peaceful and idyllic oasis setting open year round.
