Large Chinese Qing dynasty textile fragment in gold file and silk embroidery depicting a mythical beast, possibly a combination creature of The Ch'i-lin, The Hsieh-chai, and The Pai-tse. The creature of this panel combines characteristics of all three mythical beasts, the scales of The Ch'i-lin, The unicorn horn of The Hsieh-chai and the lion characteristics of The Pai-tse. Second half 18th century.
